I did a BAD thing and played my first games of HotT Saturday, and thought it was so much fun, that i have all day been thinking abut how to work up a neat little HotT army!!!! Just what I need, another army to build!!!
Not sure if I want to go a LoR route or some other, but definitely have to do the side of good! No demons or bad sorcerers for me!

Here you go Terry. I'll make it even worse for you. I've just posted a bunch of pictures of my HotT army on my blog. For those of you not in the know, HotT (Hordes of the Things) is a fantasy variant of DBA (de Bellis Antiquitatis).
Hope ya'll enjoy. These are some classic figures from the seventies and eighties when Ral Partha was in its Heyday.

I have remodeled my GW LOTR fellowship/white tower army into a HoTT army.
Magician @ 4 pts
(Gandalf with merry and pippin)
Hero @ 4 pts
(Strider with Frodo and Sam)
Hero @ 4 pts
(Legolas and Gimli)
General Blades @ 2 pts
(boromir and 2 white tower swordsmen)
2 x Blades units @ 2 pts each
(white tower swordsmen)
2x Shooters @ 2pts each
(human archers, I think white tower)
Spears @ 2 pts
(white tower spearmen)
when I say white tower, they have shields with white trees on them, and the archers where the same uniform but no shield.
This makes a cool looking 24 ap army for HoTR (Horde of the Rings) as I am affectionately going to call it  |

Hi PA, Good looking HotR list and David is definitely the man to chat with about the LoR bits as he has a very nice looking LoR army. I tend to stay more historical, except for my passion of War of the Worlds, but I grew up as a boy reading that one so that makes it "historical", or is that hysterical??? When do we get to see pictures of some of your HotR games?
By the way, I love hte HotR name, and isn't it amazing how such a set of rules is so versatile!
